Have you ever wondered what the impact of a facelift is on your perceived age? Will your facelift recovery period really be worth the result? Here at Alpine Pharmaceuticals we hear stories of easy recoveries and great feedback about facelift results from our customers and now a new study just published in the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery indicates that there truly is a difference in the age others see when they look at your results.
The findings indicate that patients on average:
- looked 7.2 years younger following surgery
- more procedures contributed to a younger perceived age
First, we always recommend using SinEcch for your facelift recovery. A faster recovery with less bruising and swelling will let you show off your results faster and make the process more comfortable. Especially if you are opting for the route of multiple procedures at once (patients in the study group with the most perceived change in age had face- and neck-lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, and forehead-lift), reducing the bruising and swelling you experience will be critical to a comfortable recovery. In fact, in our UCSF study, patients in the took 50% longer to recover than patients taking SinEcch.
This is a fascinating study because many people often hear “You look so rested!” after facelifts but may not get direct feedback about the actual change in their perceived age. Now you can go into surgery with a better sense of an average outcome and know that the “rested” look following surgery is really a way of confirming your younger appearance!
Stay tuned this week as we get ready to share some great customer testimonials!
